I shopped extensively for a mortgage broker when I found the house I wanted to purchase.
I selected Gulfside for two primary reasons. First, they had the most
competitive rate and second, Brian Geidner took the time to explain different financing
options available to me and faxed me an estimate of my closing costs before I made the
decision to use his firm. It was clear that Brian was knowledgeable and would work
hard to earn my business. However, at no time did I feel pressured to 'hurry up and
make a deal.' I also selected Gulfside because we were on a very tight deadline and
had less than four weeks until our closing date and Brian assured me he could get the job
done.
After selecting Gulfside and completing the application paperwork I began working with
Shelley Geidner, who handled the nuts and bolts of the transaction, including arranging
for the appraisal, coordinating the paperwork with our attorney and title company and
making sure that everything kept moving. In fact, when I first told my attorney that
I had selected an on-line mortgage broker she voiced some skepticism as she said she had
seen many firms that over promised and under delivered, particularly since we were under
such a tight time constraint. Well, during the process my attorney called me
specifically to say how impressed she was with the responsiveness of Gulfside Mortgage and
what a pleasure it was to work with them. These same sentiments were echoed by the
woman from the title company at closing.
Gulfside Mortgage delivered on their promise. We got the best rate, we closed on the
date we needed to and we felt good throughout the entire process. While I hope we
don't have to move again for a very long time, if we do move anywhere else in the state of
Florida, we would use Gulfside Mortgage without a doubt. Brian and Shelley Geidner
